Minutes of the Parish Council Speical Planning Meeting held on Wednesday 20 July 2005 in Holne Village Hall
Present: Cllrs Cynthia Irish, Belinda Owen, Gill Simpson
Clerk: Joanna Radford
Members of the Public: Mr P Smeaton and another parishioner
Public Forum : Mr Smeaton spoke on one of the planning applications before the Council, pointing out that one of the amendments related to parking provision for the new shop. He has measured the available space and it did not allow enough room for the number of cars proposed. He also feels that some of the problems with the size of the development would be ameliorated by putting dormer windows into the roof for the first floor of the house.
0507b.01 Apologies for absence were accepted from Cllr Iles, Copus and Maddicks.
0507b.02 Appointment of Chairman for the Meeting
Agreed that Cllr Owen should chair the meeting in the absence of both Cllrs Iles and Maddicks.
0507b.03 Planning Applications
- 0453/05 Amended Plans - Construction of two-storey dwelling with parking at land adjoining Leat Cottage, Holne for Mr M Wilkinson: Agreed that the Council could not change its recommendation in relation to the house itself as it had not objected to a larger footprint, but that concern should be expressed as to the provision of parking for the Shop, particularly in view of Mr Smeaton's comments that the spaces on the plans do not tally with measurements on the ground.
- 0508/05 Single storey lounge extension at Riversmead, Ashburton for Mr & Mrs Hasler: agreed that the new proposals would still have impact on the landscape of the area, and should be objected to as had been the previous application. It was agreed that this extension would not have been objected to if the house had not already been substantially increased in size when the previous extension was built.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 7:35 pm.
