Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Wednesday 3 August 2005 in Holne Village Hall

Public Forum : None on the first item on the Agenda, the planning application. Members of the public joined into discussion during later items.
0508.01 Election of Chairman Cllr Owen was elected chairman for the meeting
050802 Planning Application 0542/05 Shed for storage purposes at The Stone Barn, Holne: Agreed to offer no objections
050803 Housing Matters The clerk reported the receipt of a response from Tor Homes in reply to her letter authorised at the last meeting of the Parish Council. Agreed that this should be copied to Councillors and Housing committee for discussion at the next meeting of the Parish Council.
0508.04 Letter from Housing Committee to DNPA, District Council and County Council Members and MP Agreed that this should go out under the signature of Cllr Copus, Chairman of the Committee, with a return address of the Clerk. Gill Gray would e-mail it to the Clerk for printing and addressing.
0508.05 Application to Dartmoor Sustainibility Fund Gill Gray reported that the administrator had been supportive of the Committee making such an application. Agreed that she should go ahead and make the application.
0508.06 Invitation to Rural Housing Trust Representative Mr Arrowsmith asked the Council to invite a representative to the next meeting of the Committee, and to seek to acquire, or reproduce further copies of the booklet for wider distribution. Agreed.
0508.07 Tree Overhanging Holne Cattle Grid Mr Arrowsmith asked the Council to request the Highways Department to deal with this.
0508.08 Venford Reservoir Mr Gray reported that no work at all had occurred here since his site meeting. The Clerk reported that she had only just written as instructed at the last Council meeting. Agreed however that work should have been done urgently. (NB after meeting note: SWWater have now responded that a fencing contractor has been instructed to deal with the fencing over the whole site, and with the cattle grid).
There being no further business the meeting closed at 8:10 pm.
