HOLNE PARISH COUNCIL
The Regular Monthly Meeting of Holne Parish Council will be held on Wednesday
7 June 2006 in Holne Village Hall
The Meeting will begin after an address at 7:30 pm by Mr Bob Smallacombe
& Mr J Horne of BT Openreach & Broadband4Devon respectively on Broadband
provision in the parish, the public forum and questions to county and district councillors.
AGENDA
1. Apologies for absence
2. To consider, amend as agreed by the Council and approve the minutes of the meeting of 3 May 2006. (Cllr Roberts's name to be added to those present).
3. Declarations of Interest: Members are invited to declare any personal or prejudicial interest relating to any agenda item at this stage in the meeting, but may do so also at any time during the meeting, if they become aware they may have such an interest in a subject being discussed.
4. Planning matters including any applications received in time for the meeting: 0355/05-06 Listed Building and Planning consent for first floor extension over existing kitchen at Pixie Cottage, Michelcombe, Holne (Clerk to check if Council can discuss this, or if all Councillors need to declare prejudicial interest: report will be made at the meeting) To note receipt of amended plans re Agricultural Residence at Gallant le Bower (amendments to number of chimney pots and design of French windows). To confirm arrangements for the meeting with Mr Chris France, planned for Thursday 22 June at 2:30 pm. To discuss what action the Council wishes to take on the report that a hedge has been cut down at Priddons, in contravention to the terms of planning permission there (Planning Authority has confirmed that no permission to do so is on the file).
5. To hear the Clerk’s financial report & to approve the following payments:
Holne Church Charity rent for Play Park £20.00
Holne Village Hall Management Committee £21.00
To complete the Auditor's Annual Return in preparation for passing this and related
papers to the internal auditor.
6. To resolve, if agreed, that until further notice Council meetings be held at 8 pm instead of 7:30 pm.
7. To resolve, if agreed, that a Red May tree be planted on the Village Green (subject to approval by the Tenants of the Church House Inn).
8. To hear a report from the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee and to take any action requested in this.
9. Clerk’s or Councillors’ reports on matters arising from previous meetings: Condition of seats in the Parish (Cllr Arrowsmith); Communities Forum Meeting at Parke (Cllr Arrowsmith).
10. Correspondence not otherwise listed on this Agenda for information or inclusion in the Agenda of the next meeting: DNPA Agendas (to note Item 10.8 on DNPA Development Control Committee Meeting Agenda for item requested by Cllr Roberts to be on Agenda of this Council's July meeting); Holne PCC re grant for Churchyard maintenance; BT Complaint Review Service re Broadband availability; South Hams DC Sustainable Community Strategy Consultation;
11. Chairman’s Urgent Business Items for action by the Clerk if covered by delegated powers or for inclusion on the Agenda of the next meeting
