HOLNE PARISH COUNCIL
The Regular Monthly Meeting of Holne Parish Council will be held on Wednesday
6 December 2006 in Holne Village Hall The Meeting will begin after both the public forum at 8:00 pm and brief reports from county and district councillors
A G E N D A
1. Apologies for absence.
2. To consider, amend as agreed by the Council and approve the minutes of the meeting
of 1 November 2006 (NB Request to discuss article in November issue of Parish Link
has been withdrawn).
3. Declarations of Interest: Members are invited to declare any personal or prejudicial
interest relating to any agenda item at this stage in the meeting, but may do so
also at any time during the meeting, if they become aware they may have such an
interest in a subject being discussed.
4. Planning matters including any applications received in time for the meeting
: 0833/06 Construction of concrete hardstanding and alterations to fence at the
Brookings, Michelcombe for Mrs M Arden.
5. To hear the Clerk’s financial report & to approve the following payments:
a) Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal for wreath £16.50 (invoice awaited)
6 To hear a report from the Finance Committee, discuss the budget for 2007/8 and
set a precept for that year (Receipts and Payment account to 30 November together
with draft budget will be attached to Agenda).
7 To hear a report from the Housing Committee (Minutes circulated already or enclosed)
and to resolve, as requested by it, that it be closed and reconstituted as a Working
Group. If this is agreed, to discuss and approve a brief for the functioning of
such a group.
8 To discuss the Council's response to the Rural White Paper (summary in circulation
file, and full text available on the Internet).
9 To discuss the
provision of a Christmas Tree on the Green (Cllr Arrowsmith and
Clerk to report and Council to approve any expenditure necessary)
10 To discuss the need to flail hedges in Play Park and any other work needed here.
11 To discuss the condition of highways in the parish with particular reference
to recent tarmacking.
12 To discuss, at the request of Cllr Copus, the Council's response to complaints
about Sunday deliveries by tanker in the Parish.
13 Clerk’s or Councillors’ reports on matters authorised by the Council at previous meetings not otherwise on this Agenda: DNPA Forum 24 November (Clerk, and Cllr Roberts who attended on behalf of Open Spaces Society);
14 Correspondence not otherwise listed on this Agenda for information or inclusion
in the Agenda of the next meeting: S Hams on safety check of Play Park playground;
DNPA on Local Development Framework Consultation; DNPA on survey of listed buildings
in Holne Parish; S Hams open recreational spaces consultation.
15 Chairman’s Urgent Business Items for action by the Clerk if covered by delegated
powers or for inclusion on the Agenda of the next meeting
