HOLNE PARISH COUNCIL
The Regular Monthly Meeting of Holne Parish Council will be held on Wednesday 5 December 2007 in Holne Village Hall
The Meeting will begin after both the public forum at 8:00 pm and brief reports from county and district councillors. The meeting may be attended by Cllr John Tucker, Leader of South Hams District Council,
to talk about the District Council's budget for 2008/9.
A G E N D A
1. Apologies for absence.
2. To consider, amend as agreed by the Council and approve the minutes of the meeting
of 7 November and 26 November 2007

Declarations of Interest: Members are invited to declare any personal or prejudicial
interest relating to any agenda item at this stage in the meeting, but may do so
also at any time during the meeting, if they become aware they may have such an
interest in a subject being discussed.
4. Planning matters including any applications received in time for the meeting
: None to date
5. To hear the Clerk’s financial report, note the completion of the audit for 2007/8,
& to approve the following payments:
a) Mrs J M Radford salary October-November £146.66
b) Mrs J M Radford expenses for the same period internet access @ £10 per month
£20, use of home and equipment @ £2 per week, 32 weeks £64, £84.00
c) Holne Village Hall Management Committee - rent £21.00
d) Royal British Legion (Section 137 payment) £16.50
e) Miss R Roberts mileage to Parke for joint forum £9.60
f) Holne Village Stores and Tea Room rent £15.00
8. To hear a report from the Affordable
9. To hear a report from the Finance Committee, to discuss the budget
for 2008/9 and to set the precept (draft interim accounts attached)
10. To discuss the preliminary
draft of the Conservation Plan for Holne (Mr K McKay,
Historic Buildings Officer at DNPA has written since to suggest that feedback begin
in April once the plan is developed to make sure of its accuracy and suitability)
11. To discuss and if agreed, comment on the SW Water document on "pure water" (in
circulation file)
12. To discuss a proposal by Cllr Roberts that a notice be placed on village green
'no parking on village green'.
13. To discuss what the Council should do
with regard to weed needing clearing in
the leat in Church Park Field.
14. To discuss the
work of the Parish lengthsman (postponed from November meeting).
15. To discuss a proposal that the Council's Standing Orders be altered to include
provision for an annual allowance for the Chairman, and if approved to agree the
amount and to authorise its payment.
16. Clerk’s or Councillors’ reports on matters authorised by the Council at previous meetings not otherwise on this Agenda:

Ross?); Provision of a Christmas Tree for the Village
17. To discuss the need to change the date of the January meeting and to arrange
an alternative date.
