You are hereby summoned to attend a meeting of the PARISH COUNCIL to be held on TUESDAY 6th APRIL 2010 at 8.00pm in the Village Hall, Holne.
Also invited: District Councillor Jones, County Councillor Pennington, Maurice Retallick (DNPA), Jon Stones (DNPA) and Community Police Officers.
Members of the press and public are welcome.

The meeting will begin after both the Public Forum at 8.00pm and brief reports from County and District Councillors, DNPA representative and Police Community Support Officer.
1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Members are reminded of their responsibility to continually update their Notice of Registerable Interests and invited to state whether they have a personal or prejudicial interest in any matter to be discussed during this meeting.
3. RATIFICATION OF MINUTES
To approve and sign the minutes of the meeting held on 2nd March 2010.
4. PLANNING
(i) New application 0138/10 – Extension to side and rear of dwelling – Darryn Bank, Holne
(ii) Decision 0052/10 – Alterations to the roof to make a flat roof into a pitched tiled roof –
Middle Leat, Holne – Granted conditionally
5. FINANCE
(i) To agree the following payments:
- £574.39 to the Public Works Loans Board.
- £27.41 to the clerk (stamps, stationery and Model Standing Orders Part I).
- £20.00 - Hire of Village Hall - Jan, Feb & March
- £82.25 – R Wrayford - Cutting and clearing of hedge in playpark
- £35.00 – DPFA Membership fees 2010/11
(ii) To agree details of the internal audit
(iii) To note the year end bank reconciliation.
6. ANNUAL PARISH MEETING
To confirm arrangements.
7. HOLNE VILLAGE FETE
Request from the Fete Committee to use Playpark as the site for this event to be held on Saturday 14th August
8. MAINTENANCE OF BENCHES
To discuss quotations
9. PLAYPARK
Update from the working party, to include:
(i) Insurance, Inspection and Maintenance Agreements – Heads of Terms
10. HOLNE AND SCORITON HOUSING GROUP REPORT
Report to include:
(i) Proposal from working party that an approach is made to two housing associations, Hastoe and South Devon Rural, re working with them to secure affordable housing for the communities of Holne and Buckfastleigh West.
(ii) Invitation to Sue Hitchcock, CCD Rural Housing Enabler, to join Liam Reading for the Annual Parish Meeting.
11. POTHOLES AND HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE REPORTS AND OTHER HIGHWAYS ISSUES
12. CLERK’S OR COUNCILLOR’S REPORTS ON MATTERS AUTHORISED BY THE COUNCIL AT PREVIOUS MEETINGS NOT OTHERWISE ON THIS AGENDA

(i) Feedback re hedge in village
