Minutes of an Extraordinary Meeting of Holne Parish Council held
on Wednesday 21st May 2008 in Holne Village Hall

08.05.01a Cllr Arrowsmith agreed to chair this meeting as , as the present time , Holne Parish Council has not elected a Chairman.
08.05.02a Apologies were received from Cllrs Irish and Simpson
08.05.03a Planning application 0316/08 - Leat Cottage, Holne - Extension to form bathroom and porch for Mr J Forbes-Wood Cllrs Irish and Ross attended the site and spoke to the Applicant . It was noted that the proposed extension would not affect any of the neighbouring properties . Cllr Ross also stated that the extension would not have a detrimental impact on the parking area currently used by the applicant Cllr Owen raised the point that , she believed that this property may already have had an extension which included a second bathroom and was given to understand that this previous extension was now let . She therefore disputed the need for the proposed extension. Cllr Ross proposed that Holne Parish Council raised no objection to this application. In favour - Cllrs Arrowsmith and Ross Against - Cllr Owen The Clerk was therefore instructed to advise DNPA that Holne Parish Council had no objection to 0316/08
08.05.04a It was with great reluctance that the Council accepted the resignation of Ru Roberts and the Clerk was asked to write to thank Ms Roberts for contribution to the Council?s work The Clerk was asked to advertise the Vacancy on the Noticeboards and Holybrook Exchange
08.05.05 a & 6a The email from Cllr Simpson was read out . It stated that she was willing stand for election for Chairman of Holne Parish Council for the coming year , and the payment of £48.00 for DAPC chairmanship course agreed
There being no further business , the meeting was closed at 8.20pm
